Small yet big.

Yesterday was my trash pickup day.  When I went to put my container out at the road there were a couple of photo shots I saw that I wanted to take but, not the kind where I needed to run inside and get my camera right then.  I decided to wait until later when I went to get the empty container.  I was putzing around (do you ever putz) and heard the truck so, I got my camera and went outside.  On my way back to the house I took the photographs I had noticed earlier but, I also found another one.Peeking out from under the dried grass and leaves were these little twin flowers.  They seemed to be saying, “Please, someone notice me.  I will not be here much longer and I may never be here again.”  I am really glad I saw them because my day would have been less without them.

The world has gotten so fast and we rush around not taking the time to notice things.  There are children and adults out there that feel like no one knows they exist.  They feel so insignificant and unloved.  That is one of the reasons the suicide rate is so high.  We often say, “there is just not enough hours in the day” but, there is.  What we don’t get done today we can finish tomorrow.  I don’t mean to get anyone in trouble with your boss but, maybe they need to be a little less worried about profit and be more concerned with the well-being of their employee.

It is going to be another beautiful warm day.  Cold weather is coming so I hope you enjoy what we have while we have it.  My always remember remark today is from a hit that Diana Ross recorded, “Reach out and touch somebody’s hand.  Make this world a better place if you can.”  Melanie
